Brand of Finasteride

Hello, I've been viewing the Hairloss forums for sometime and have decided I would start taking finasteride. I've searched through the success stories but unable to find want company people are generally using. I'm looking into Proscar, but I didn't hear some great things about Merck.

Anyone have success with a certian type of finasteride? What type is normally used that usually has the greatest success?

I haven't posted but I thought I would start and become apart of the community.

I have friends with great results with Finascar (widely available across the net) and I and many have used Fistide (from United Pharmacies).

Fistide is about $60 for a 1mg/day dose for a year, which is probably the internet's cheapest.

Finasteride is finasteride is finasteride.

If you have a quality supplier, and a brand/generic that is well regarded, there is no difference.

Your only decision is whether you want to be able to collect at a local pharmacy (expensive, but 99% guaranteed quality product) or an international generic (riskier, but follow the recommendations here and safe, bar Customs, if your country has strict rules)

I'm currently 28 and been thinning at the crown. I thought this would be a good time to do something about the problem.

I actually have seen success stories of people using finscar. I'm in Canada and I would have to purchase internationally to get the product. I'll use the recommendations that is provided here and give it a try.

I'll do a search for those recommendations right now.
