I'm 28 and have been experiencing rapid hair loss/thinning and front hairline recession for the past 6-12 months. A year ago I had a full head of hair, plush thick - no thin spots, no recession. This whole thing has shocked me pretty badly but I'm starting to take ahold of it and wanted some advice.
I just bought Rogaine 5% foam and am on my second day. I've started using it around my temples and front hairline and rubbed it in a little further back... I know, exactly where it says it won't help, but I didn't know what else to do. I also already use Nizoral for an unrelated skin condition. I also already take zinc and omega 3-6-9 for general health. As a note, I have spoken to my doctor, it was rather uninformative and Rogaine was the general suggestion.
Lifestyle: High stress job, a bit overweight, active and my diet isn't terrible but not the best.
Genetics: 50 y/o Dad is semi-bald. 49 y/o Mother is thinning. Maternal grandfather went bald.
Does anyone have any recommendations on the regime I've started - will Rogaine really not work for these areas? As you can see by my pics I'm not too worried about my crown or my back, it hasn't changed at all. But my temples and the receding is really throwing me for a loop, I'm getting really insecure and this is becoming a huge issue for me.
