Brand name propecia vs. generic

I have been on the brand name propecia for quite a while now with no side effects at all. I was wondering if there might be a difference between propecia, proscar, and the other generics that would cause side effects. Merk claims such a low side effect rate with Propecia and these forums as well as others seem to represent a much higher rate of sides, I know that many people on these forums use proscar or generics. Just a thought.

Even basic products like non brand name food products taste cheaper/shitter so I have no confidence in generics from India. I know for a fact that Kelloggs cornflakes taste nicer than the shitty cheap supermarket brands. Ditto with Heinz baked beans.

From a friend who has experienced two different generic codeine tablets they say one is weaker than the other despite the same mg dosage. I think they said it could be related to what binders there is. Similarly vitamin supplements are not all absorbed equally etc.

As a steroid user I have also taken sustanon 250 made in Pakistan and the British version and the Pakistani version definitely irritaes more as well as feeling underdosed - this despite the fact the drug is made by the same company Organon in both countries. I imagine that for whatever reason standards aren't as high in the 3rd world. Thats with brand name manufacturers. I am sure for generics it is even worse.

Bottom Line - At the end of the day why risk taking an inferior product when the branded stuff isn't that much more in the first place? Always stick to American, or EU stuff in my book and you won't be disappointed.

In the same way the counterfeit goods coming out of the far east wouldn't pass muster in a designer boutique the same applies to the drugs coming out of these third world countries.

I'll have to agree with you.

As a side note, I prefer Bush's baked beans. Are they available in the UK? Roll that beautiful bean footage!

May I ask a good website to buy MERCK Propecia? I have a prescription from a doctor. I just can not afford an $80 a bottle. Anybody have experience cutting up Proscar? Is this legit? Thanks.

I'm kinda worried about getting side effects with the generics. I know that they may contain the same amount of medication, but who knows what else is in it. I hate paying so much for Propecia, but I'm not getting a single side effect and I don't wanna chance it by getting something cheaper. I really hope I'm wrong and just paranoid, but I'm not gonna chance it. If it was something that had no side effects at all then I wouldn't care one bit, but as it stands, I kinda like my sex life and being horny all the time and wanna keep it this way.

There has been plenty of dodgy generics going around. Anyone who has taken Kamagra versus v**** knows it is not identical - the v**** seems better in most opinions. Maybe like coca-cola they have a secret recipe:)

at last, some sanity with the generic drug issue. they are NOT made in someone's back yard in India.. companies like Cipla and dr reddy's are huge multinationals who have specialist knowledge of drug production.

But if you are worried, take a combination of generic and brand..it'll reduce your costs a little, and give you peace of mind..
