I looked at some family photos. Grandfather on my dad's side was NW3 at 80.

But what's really scary is my grandfather on my mother's side was NW3 by 50.

Am I 100% screwed, or is there any possible way I couldn't have inherited the gene?

I am now 30 and from opinions on here, I'm between a NW1 and NW2.

its not impossible but to expect it not to recede further would be delusional

I just hope it's slow enough to where I'll have good hair in my 40's. After say 55, then who cares I guess.

80% of men experience male pattern baldness.
You should only be REALLY worried if you have a relative who is a nw5+ in their early 20's....
But lets be honest male pattern baldness is unpredictable, you could be balding in your teens lol

Yeah the more you think about it, the 80% figure seems true when you look at men age 45+.

If it wasn't for their low testosterone levels, you'd probably see just as many women balding.

Norwood 3 at 80? I'd consider that great genetics. Even norwood 3 at 50s is pretty good.

Even if you are genetically predisposed your hairline will probably advance at a snails pace. Hell, you're a norwood 1.5 at 30.
