body hair keeps on coming!

I just turned 29 and noticed that my body hair keeps on getting more plentiful as time goes on. I wouldn't say I'm a paticularly hairy guy, but I'm far from hairless.

The new body hair is obviously not growing at puberty rate but for example, I had no hair on the back of my shoulders until 1 or 2 years ago. I now have about 3 dark hairs. I also notice my beard is filling out with smaller thin hairs were I had no hair before.

I would expect most men to stop growing new body hair by the age of 25 or so. Being 29, I'm a little frustrated and feel like it's never going to stop. It reminds me of the joke that I once heard a comedian say. "I'm not losing my hair, it's just moving to different places". These are my sentiments exactly and I frequently joke about it.

Let me know what you guys think or expeerienced.

It's a fummy thing back hair, it is unpredictable. Yoy may grow a bit more and then stop or it may start to get heaps thicker. It's a bit like hairloss, but reversed.
As men get older they also have to deal with nose hair and then ear hair.

i've been pretty good with the nose hair, but the ears on the other hand have thier fair share of hair. The ear hair is another area that sprouted only with the last year or two.

Are you on finasteride?

I've read some people saying they've seen a decrease in body hair after taking finasteride for a long time (year or two or more)

Why do women not have any of these problems and only men? Is it as simple as DHT or androgens? Is it the estrogen/androgen ratio difference between men and women?

haha yeah I know what you mean!

It means one of two things but I can't work out which:

1) DHT levels are simply higher (I hope so, as this is much easier to combat).

2) Hair follicles throughout the body have now become more sensitive to it's effects.

I have no idea which one. A blood test may reveal the answer however :)
