I recently got a blood test and I'm thinking my estradiol might be too high. Since it costs a bunch of money to get all the levels checked I only did those that are free.
I've had low libido in the last couple of months and no morning wood, but I've assumed it's due to mental health. Are the levels alright since they're still in the range, should I use an AI or should I just drop it?

My levels currently:

[SHBG] 45 nmol/L 18-54

S--Testosteron 17,9 nmol/L 8,6-29

S--DHEA-SO4 6,0 umol/L 4,3-12,2

S--Progesterone 0,7 nmol/L <0,6

S--TSH 2,09 mIE/L 0,4-4,0

S--estradiol 137 pmol/L 41,4-159

EDIT: Worth mentioning is that did not get the blood test during the morning, if that makes a difference.

Personally I think blood tests are a bit over rated, and pointless. Your hormones will change naturally as you age on their own. What do these numbers even really tell you? Lets say your estradiol or progesterone levels are higher, so okay now what do you do? There is not a lot you can do.
Instead of analyzing numbers which are hard to translate into practical uses I would just either stop the drug, or change the dose. Those side effects are from the drug so either decide to accept them, or stop taking it. Id look at it more practically, and less analytically since there is not much use for these numbers.

Thanks for the answer! I get it, a blood test won't answer the question, but I believe it might help me out. I mean, I've had depressed periods before and I'm well aware of the impact it had on me. If my current hormone-levels are fucked up I can rule out depression and think about an AI. If they look fine, I might give it some more time and work on my mental health.

It seems SHBG levels increase while on Finasteride which probably leads to the lower libido for some people.

What increases SHBG? Higher testosterone, Estrogen and lower DHT.

What causes low SHBG, which is common in hypogonadal YOUNG men? Low testosterone, low to normal estrogen and high to normal DHT.

Good Testosterone+Good DHT+Good Estrogen will cause normal levels of SHBG and is best for hormone balance.

Thanks for the answer! So the question is, what are good T, DHT and Estrogen levels? Like I said I did the test mid-day and I've read that the test won't come out accurate unless it's taken in the morning. I saw a graf that showed a decline of almost 50% in Testosterone during the day and I believe mine should be higher with finasteride since my T-levels were 20 nmol/L before finasteride. Do you know if the same thing goes for Estradiol, or maybe even the opposite that it gets lower during the day?
