Bleached Knots at on the Hair System

I'm just curious if anyone knows how exactly is the bleaching knot process done at the factory. Wouldn't the bleach stain the lace base?

The chemicals are brushed onto the underside of the lace. The lace is synthetic, and it, like grey hair is unaffected by the bleaching.
