I am 27 years old and just recently cut my hair pretty low after my barber pushed my shape up back. I just decided to cut it very low and let it all grow back. Anyway, when I did this I noticed thinning in the corners up front. I had seen these thin spots in the corners years ago but they were nowhere near noticable to anyone else (I could barely notice them) and my barber told me that my hair has always grown a little thin in these areas. So I never thought about it again until last week when I cut my hair very low (not too far from bald). Now, After seeing this thinning I now know that I can't just chalk it up to always being thin there anymore because I have had my hair this low before and I never noticed it. Now, it's not bad. I've shown it to a few people and they can't see what I'm talking about and the more my hair growns the more unnoticable it is to me. But the point is I know that my hair is thinning now and I want to jump right on top of it before it gets worse. Are there any brothers out there who could recommend any particular type of treatment for me. I read through some of the threads and figured that since I am a Black man and we have a different texture of hair that some of the advice given here would not apply to me. I see a lot of people mentioning shedding as a side affect in many of the treatments. Does this apply to Black men also because if it does those treatments may not be for me. I keep my hair relatively low and I believe shedding would be very noticable. I just basically want to get some feedback/advice from other Black men about my situation. Thanks a lot. Peace.
