Big Three (and Everything Related To It) - How Do They Work? What Really Works?

Hello everybody,

I am still new to the topic but I read a lot in the forum about hairloss - I often hear the term big 3 - meaning finasteride, minoxidile and kezoconazole;
Now I have questions regarding them and other things just to understand it a bit better:

1. DHT mainly causes hair loss - the dht docks to the receptors of the hair (sorry for my weird way of describing it) and if you hair is sensitive regarding it, your hair gets minaturized - finasteride taken orally lowers your level of DHT and hence decreases the bad influence of DHT

2. Minoxidile promotes blood circulation, making hair grow thicker again although it does not help against the problem at all

3. Kezoconazole applied to the scalp docks to the receptors of the hair and therefore prevents DHT to dock to it and hence helps against hair loss

4. The effect of RU ist totally unknown

Did I understand everything correctly so far? If yes, I would have some more questions:

1. Is finasteride topically as helpful as orally (some minoxidile products contain finasteride as well) Does topical finasteride lower the DHT level on the scalp, in the whole body or what does it do?

2. I discovered that I have lots of miniaturization - however I also started taking minoxdile 10% on my beard and Kezoconazole on my temples - is there a way to see if my existing hair miniaturizes of if it is new hair?

Thanks for your answers
