The lack of patience in the hair loss community boggles my mind sometimes. Guys, especially newer guys, it takes time -- a lot of f*ckin time -- for our current medications to take action against the filthy wh*** that is male pattern baldness. Does it suck major balls that this is what we have to deal with if we want fuller hair? You're damn right, but it's what needs to happen until there's a better option available to us. Typically, the best results won't be seen until TWO YEARS after you begin treatment, particularly when Finasteride is involved. There are going to be some bumps in the road on the way to recovery.
I don't mean to single out the OP, but everyday I see a new post about someone panicking that it's been X number of weeks or months since they started treatment and they've not only not gotten better, but also have seem to have become exponentially worse off than they were not long ago. I'm not picking on anyone, but we gotta get it together here, dudes. It's a grind...it really is. I wish none of us had to go through this balding madness at all. The guys that are posting on here everyday concerned about treatment not working need to realize that your hair doesn't just all fall out in the span of a couple of weeks or months, even in the most aggressive cases of male pattern baldness. There are going to be some adjustment periods where you shed some hair and may look worse off for a short time, but it's not because your treatment has decided to take out it's aggression on your hair follicles. Shedding happens. You gotta roll with it by buzzing your head, getting some good concealer product, wearing a hat, or whatever your preferred method is. As horribly cliched as it sounds, you gotta crack a few eggs if you want to make an omelette. The omelette in this case being a much improved head of hair, which I wish for us all.
