Big 3 - Dry Scalp!!! HELP!!!!

Month 3 of finasteride.
Month 2 of minoxidil and nizoral.
Scalp has become very dry, itchy, with big white flakes.

Will having a scalp like this make my male pattern baldness worse, if so, should i stop the minoxidil??

This is a result of using minoxidil. I don't use minoxidil but I know it causes the flaking scalp that you mention. Go to a pharmacy and ask them what they would recommend for you.

Hi ssm23, I would try adding Folligen as it really helps heal the scalp.

Just went through that terrible phase.

I went and bought a bottle of head & shoulders 2 in 1 "Dry scalp care"

contains 1% pyrithione zinc

Worked like an absolute dream...stings if you have been scratchin the life out of your scalp.

Use for a few days and continue the minoxidil as usual...I have maintained all my current treatments.

1mg finasteride daily
H&S 2in1 Dry scalp care with 1% pyrithione zinc
1 ml minoxidil twice daily
Nizoral 2% every so often
