i just wanted to start a thread where people share which topical dht inhibitors (proven or not) they feel they have had success with because i am considering using (i.e. spironolactone, fluridil, lipoxidil, revivogen etc.)

spironolactone 2% worked for me - but then seemed to lose its effectiveness after only 6 months.

azelaic acid enhanced with b6 and zinc along with perhaps betasterols which are said to be more potent than sawpalmetto by far and studies have shown it to work, so basicly a combination of these will work if you don't want to mess with chems such as spironolactone.

Actually, only exactly ONE (1) study showed azelaic acid to work, and that was just an in vitro study. Nobody has ever demonstrated that it works when applied topically to living animals.

As above the azelaic acid study was in a test tube, and best effect was with the combination of zinc, B6 and azelaic acid. But even dr. Lee doesnt add zinc to his azelaic acid because they interact. So, is the azelic acid effective on its own? Is it inactivated if zinc is combined? Is it active when applied to the skin? Who knows... The only thing we are certain of is that Dr. Lee charges an extra 15$/60ml to add it to his minoxidil.
