My situation : Age 26, very little hairline recession, scalp has been thinning. Please do not tell me this is excessive, and that propecia is all that I need.

My plan right now is to use propecia (split into .5mg to save money) and I'm also experimenting to supplement my routine with the following topical solutions:

Morning
Tricomin spray in the morning (hairline)

Afternoon
a topical DHT inhibitor in the afternoon (after work)
Tricomin spray scalp and hairline after shower

Evening
5% rogaine at night

Occasional
I also apply a mixture of carrier and essential oils so that my hair is very soft over the weekends or on days/nights where I don't go out.

Aside from that - I'm also using Regenpure DR (1% Keto) 3x a week, Regenpure NT as regular wash, and conditioning with Regenepure Conditioner

Daily supplements: Fish Oil, daily vitamin pill, vitamin d, and pumpkin seed oil 2x a day. I don't use Saw Palmetto because of its potential side effects.

Now, my questions are:

1. How does my routine sound? Should I add or remove a step?
2. Please tell me your experiences with the BEST DHT inhibitor that you apply to your scalp and/or hairline (if you apply to either or both, please indicate)

Just my opinion :
The only solid things that actually work to prevent more further hairloss and regrow/thicken hair in your regimen are Propecia,Rogaine and the Keto shampoo. Rest all the fish oils and stuff are just a waste of money. I would rather save that money to buy more Finasteride and would rather take 1mg which is the recommended dosage. If cost is an issue, you can buy generic version of Finasteride.
2. Topical DHT inhibitors are only a few. spironolactone cream is there but I don't know if it actually works. And from what I have seen in these forums, RU works pretty well. Like really well. The only downside is it is not approved and we don't know its safety profile.

Use Finasteride (oral DHT inhibitor), Ketoconazole in Regenepure DR (anti-inflammatory), Minoxidil (growth-stimulant), and RU58841 (topical androgen receptor antagonist) in your regimen if you're totally serious at treating your baldness. Do not bother with anything else, at least for now.
