Best thing for receders?

Is the best thing for temple receders to use topicals, if they exhibit full heads of hair on the top and vertex? Propecia would seem like a large step for someone who isn't exhibiting diffuse thinning?

I'm trying to find a solution for my situation, and taking Propecia and affecting all of the follicules on my head seems drastic if I'm only a temple receder.

Am I correct in this assessment?

Propecia may help slow/stop your recession.

I use Xandrox15 and 5% spironolactone on the hairline, and I'm slowly but surely reversing the recession.

Are you on Propecia as well? If so, did you experience any shedding and/or side effects? How long have you been on your treatments?
