best product for maintaining current hair count

Can anyone tell me the most effective product for maintaining the hair you have?

Dutasteride, known by the brand name Avodart. It's a more potent 5 alpha reductase inihibitor than Propecia and is the best thing we know of at maintaining current hair count. You should be able to maintain your current hair count for at least a few years on it, and then if you lose hair, it will probably be a very, very slow decline, only a fraction of the speed that the decline would be without it.

On paper Propecia, but if read some of the stories here no way.

I'm on it, got a shed and riding it out.

I'd recommend you try finasteride first, for many reasons. But yeah dutasteride in theory should work a fair bit better

yeah it is a prescription drug. it is safe. it would work great with rogaine foam. talk to your doctor about it.

Thanks guys. Bought Rogaine last night and plan to get my Doctor to prescribe avodart soon. Last question . . . I used the Rogaine this afternoon and I had a headache for a while. Is this normal? ALso, can I apply 2 does at night instead of doing one in morning and one at night?

use rogaine twice a day for a year then you can use it once a day

It is said that you need to apply Rogaine twice a day to see regrowth. If you use it once a day you "only" have maintenance of the "minoxidil hairs".
