Best Base Option For Lower Density Units?

I have a big day coming up (wedding) with a lot of eyes on me. I want to make sure my hair is good because this will be my first time showing my new hair to most people (I usually just put my cap on).

I am considering an extra light or light density system but what would be a good base to use? I use lace at the moment with poly back/sides. Only the hairline knots are bleached.

What should I order? I currently have medium density which is honestly a little on the too much side for me. I'm considering either extra light or light density. If nothing else extra light might be good to show off with all the extra scalp on show.

My stylist seems to be used to lace so I am considering swiss fine lace with extra light density.

For a very low density I think the best base design is fine Swiss lace with a thinskin inset under the crown swirl and the parting (if you have one). For your big day I would consider ditching the poly horseshoe rim and using an all glue attachment.

Are you the groom? If so, all the very best. Hope it's a very happy day for you.

I am the groom!

I did consider an all glue swiss lace. But why would I have a poly inset under the crown? Would suppliers do this for me?

The only weak spot with Swiss lace, I think, is that if there are any fairly bare areas on your unit, and someone is very close to you, they could maybe spot the lace mesh. The combination of a very low density piece with a crown swirl could result in a fairly bare area where the lace mesh could be visible. If you wanted to guard against that, you could have a small skin insert in your base for just under the crown.

If you order a custom unit you can specify that for no extra cost from most suppliers.

What do you consider very low density? I was considering either extra light or light. Would light density help me show scalp but avoid over exposing the swiss lace base?
