I'm trying to regrow my juvenile hairline. I was recently turned down for a hair transplant due to my minor loss. I'm around a NW1 or a bit lower.
Current:
-2.5mg dutasteride ED
-1ml minoxidil to hairline and crown 2xED
-Nizoral E3D

Options:
-Increase oral dutasteride to 5mg
-Add topical dutasteride
-RU (how many mg if I'm only applying to hairline and crown?)
-Something else?

That regimen is insane, props to you for sticking to it.
But you really aren't going to get any better than that, I'd say just wait it out. Saying that I don't know how long you've been on this regimen for but I seriously wouldn't waste you time with other products.

In my opinion, I believe the following regimen would be best for you in your case:

+Dutasteride 0.5 mg: Once Daily
+Ketoconazole 1%: Twice Weekly
+Minoxidil 5%: Once Daily
+RU58841 100 mg per 1 ml: Once Daily

With the regimen I recommended, you should get major improvements. About Dutasteride, you can just take 0.5 mg daily and that should be quite effective, there shouldn't be any need to go any higher than that. Taking 2.5-5 mg daily of Dutasteride would just be way too much. Also, there would be no point in using Dutasteride topically if you're taking it orally and the medication probably won't even do anything topically.

About RU58841, to have that treatment be really effective, use 100 mg per 1 ml. Then, apply the topical anti-androgen to the areas that are prone to Androgenetic Alopecia.

I have been on this exact regimen for one year, but I've been on dutasteride for two. I have a lot of vellus hairs that fill in the recessed area, but they refuse to turn terminal.

Thank you, friend. However, I doubt that I will lower my dutasteride dosage at this time. The scalp DHT inhibition numbers are what led me to increase the dosage in the first place. Granted, I don't know if this is at all necessary or making a difference, but I seem to be tolerating it well enough.

Yeah, I've always had reservations about topical dutasteride. I've seen arguments that seem to think that it all will end up being absorbed systemically anyway, making it an extraordinarily messy way of taking a pill. Others seem to think that applying it topically will allow for greater reduction of scalp DHT.

Okay, I will look into RU again. Do individuals tend to shed when beginning or halting treatment? I forget about the stability of the compound. Can I mix up a month's batch and throw it into the freezer or do I have to mix it weekly?

Alright then.

About RU58841, I myself currently haven't started the treatment yet. Though I will be soon, so I cannot say anything about it right now since I haven't had any experience with it yet. And about mixing your own batches, I think making them weekly will be best so the RU58841 can maintain its stability and won't risk the treatment going through molecular degradation from sitting in a solution for too long.

Hey where do you get your 2.5mg dutasteride? Or do you just take 5 pills. Isnt that expensive?

RU58841 is very good. Stronger than 15% minoxidil (for me). Enjoy!

RU has the benefit that is in theory, competes with T as well as DHT. In the negative column its pretty untested, and from a unreliable supplier. So it has some big issues but it seems like it would work better than finasteride or dutasteride at the right dose and delivered properly
