Begun Minoxidil Use - Can You Confirm Its male pattern baldness?

Both father and grandfather went bald, I began thinning around 27, now noticeably receding and looks like its thinning on crown. Now nearly 33. Been using minoxidil about 6 weeks on the hairline in front, but probably going to begin using it on the crown as well - just wanted to post these pictures and get some honest feedback/advice.
I have a cowlick in the center of the crown but it looks like that it is beginning to bald generally in that area, and is probably unrelated. I used to have shoulder length hair and wear it up with a ponytail/bun also, and just wanted to make sure that I wasn't dealing with any sort of traction alopecia. I keep it pretty closely shaved these days while I'm starting minoxidil as I have read about the "shedding" phase. Thanks!
