I've decided to go with Dr. Lee's Xandrox. Do you think I should start with 5% or 15%.

If you can afford the 15%, then theres no reason to start with the 5%. Might as well go all out imo.

Yeah 15%. I just bought my first bottle of Xandrox about 2 months ago, I bought the 5% but only because I didn't have enough money for the 15% (losing my hair and no money...nice). It has been working well I must say, but either way I'm getting the 15% next, it could only do better.

Any other opinions on this topic. Does anyone think it would be beneficial to start 5% now and then if the results start to fade in a few years upgrade to 15%? Please let me know what you think. Thanks for the responses thus far by the way.

Why are you going with Xandrox? I mean it seems to work really well but at the same time, you could get the same results on regular 5% minoxidil liquid or foam. Plus, the price seems to really be steep.

I wish I knew for sure whether or not the 15% version is an actual "upgrade" over the 5% version...

Mostly I think because of the hype. I'm the type of person who falls easily to flashy words and fancy advertising. That's the most honest answer I can muster.

I'm just hoping that it is basically. But isn't it the case that with minoxidil the success was directly related to the concentration of minoxidil? Or not, I could be wrong.

Other things being equal, sure. But in this specific case, other things AREN'T equal. Dr. Lee had to pull some fancy tricks to get a solution containing 15% minoxidil, because the standard Rogaine vehicle (alcohol, propylene glycol, and water) just can't hold that much. So what if he had to use some other fancy solvents or solubility enhancers which don't penetrate as well through the skin as the standard Rogaine topical vehicle, just to get that higher percentage of minoxidil? I'd rather not just assume that his formulation is better, based on nothing but that one little number.

PersonGuy, Plus or regular Xandrox15?

I was looking at 15% Plus, I figure the word 'plus' is a positive thing? If in two weeks he came out with something called Xandrox 15% Plus EXTRA...I'd probably end up buying the EXTRA. I'm easily swayed by these fancy words.

That's a fair point. I'm hoping he found a way to keep the penetration of the 15% to equal that of the 5% but we'll never really know as far as I can tell. He may claim it's the same level of penetration but let's be honest...he's the guy selling the stuff. He seems to have been very honest in the past, however it's a definite conflict of interest to ONLY take his advice on the matter.
