I've been reading studies and (I assume) women's responses to polls online.
Here is what they say:
Clean shaved looks better than beard, goaty, or mustache,
But 2-3mm of stubble looks way better than clean shaved.
They also say the face is more important than the presence or absence of hair.
0.1-2mm of stubble is painful to the touch. The advice is to get some electric trimmers, so you can keep it at the ideal length all the time. Get it as short as you can without it feeling painful when you rub your chin on your shoulder.
And women don't like hair on your cheaks or your neck. So if you are thinking of laser hair removal, those would be the places to get it removed for good. You want a clean, well shaped beard line. Lean faces look better with straight beard lines, whereas round faces look better with blurred beard lines.
Well, I'm going to have my laser tech just do the neck and cheaks from now on. I can always finish the beard later. But for now, I think I'll get a good quality hair buzzer. I can use it for buzzing my hair close each day for my hair piece, so I don't get micro irritation.
