Beard stubble and attracting women

I've been reading studies and (I assume) women's responses to polls online.

Here is what they say:
Clean shaved looks better than beard, goaty, or mustache,
But 2-3mm of stubble looks way better than clean shaved.

They also say the face is more important than the presence or absence of hair.

0.1-2mm of stubble is painful to the touch. The advice is to get some electric trimmers, so you can keep it at the ideal length all the time. Get it as short as you can without it feeling painful when you rub your chin on your shoulder.

And women don't like hair on your cheaks or your neck. So if you are thinking of laser hair removal, those would be the places to get it removed for good. You want a clean, well shaped beard line. Lean faces look better with straight beard lines, whereas round faces look better with blurred beard lines.

Well, I'm going to have my laser tech just do the neck and cheaks from now on. I can always finish the beard later. But for now, I think I'll get a good quality hair buzzer. I can use it for buzzing my hair close each day for my hair piece, so I don't get micro irritation.

You are probably not familiar with the European football, but there is this Portuguese football manager, Jose Mourinho. When he was a manager at Chelsea the British press used to talk about how sexy his stubble was.

I personally agree that clean shaved or stubble is the way to go. I used to have a goatee now and then, people still tell me my pictures with a goatee look good but I don't like it somehow. Even one decent looking girl posted a comment on my facebook picture saying she likes my goatee.

The problem with the stubble is, as already mentioned, it's hard to get it right. If it's too short, the face feels like a sandpaper, if it's too long then it looks like a lazy beard.

I'm reading there is a Norelco hair buzzer that gets it right, and lasts a long time, and does not give you bumps. Anyone know more about this?

I'm so glad I read about all this before finishing my laser beard removal. I did 3 sessions, but my beard never shed. I think some of my side burns shed a bit after this last time at a higher laser setting, but I will tell my laser tech to just do the neck and upper cheaks from now on, and leave the beard. I will also have electrolisis to get rid of stray hairs around the mouth. I want a very classical, neat looking beard shape, and then will use a buzzer to get it as short as possible without feeling scratch to my shoulder. And I'll keep it 1/8 inch away from my lips, and keep it out of my nostrils, with electrolisis.

Looks like somebody didn't grow up from the 16 year old mentality.

This gives me the terrible suspicion that some of the women in these polls are 16 year old girls.

I just want everyone to know. I read the title of this thread without looking at the author, and guessed correctly CCS.

CCS please note this is not an insult, I just couldn't imagine this coming from anyone else.

Women went mad for Hugh Lawrie of House fame. His stubble is around a grade #3/4.

Who says women don't like mustaches:

I'm not even 100% sure that guy looks bad. Hairy and white yeah, but has good posture and shape to get away with it.

I think stubble is a form of peacocking. It is attention getting, good or bad. It says, "look at me; I look good even with stubble, and I'm confident enough to break a few rules by wearing it." It can draw attention to masculinity, or can make you look like a bum, depending on how yours is shaped and the length.

Nice to know women are not going completely bi or lez; they are actually attracted to our stubble. They just don't like long facial hair that hides our faces, or un-neat facial hair.

facial hair is suply and demand. If 50% of women like facial hair, and 10% of men grow it, those 10% are in demand. If 90% then start growing it, the 10% who shave are in demand.

Right now, 2/3 like stubble if it is done right. Once more than 2/3 of men start wearing stubble, I'm shaving mine and going for the women who like clean shaven. As long as you get the ratio right, you get some benefit.

But if my stubble looks better than average, I'm keeping it. I'll just look around and see how I compare. If everyone else has perfect stubble and mine has holes, I might shave mine.

Hey CCS,

someone made a comment about my stubble today. She said I looked very manly with a stubble and that it suited me...

My stubble got me a compliment

Just saying....

It has taken me many years of making fashion/hygiene mistakes but I think I have sort of figured it out:

Women are different. Some like one thing and some like another. You will never please them all. I also think they go through phases. Sometimes you may find the type of woman who would rather have a rugged man and other times may lean toward a more GQ/Metrosexual style (probably depends on their cycle).

With that said, I have found that 100% in my experience (that doesn't necessarily mean the real world experience) whether or not you look rugged or clean, they prefer that you are well groomed :agree: . Meaning that if you decide to go rugged, you need to a well trimmed and groomed rugged man and not a Grizzly Adams type of man.

that is why I'm getting laser hair removal and electrolisis on all hair that is outside the classic beard area. I also have a very dense patch in one area that I will have thinned with electrolisis. And I'm getting FUE to take some stubble from under my chin and fill in the disconnects between my beard and my goatie.

Then when I go for the stubble look, I'll set the hair buzzer to 3mm and use that, until I have. I'll have the option of clean or stubble when I feel like it, for both types of women.

No more shaving the neck or doing any other fine cornering. Just all there or all gone, and always looking neat.

Hi dudes...

I don't wanna be offensive and unpleasant, but some of you guys (CCS especially) are completely f***ed up. How the f*ck can you date a girl with such a freak mind ?? C'mon, after reading your topics, I understand why MBP has such a great impact on your life. Stop quibbling, stop paying attention to physical appearance down to the smallest details, have a real life.
Are you going to check her pussy before starting to flirt with a girl ? Or if she has some hair in her slit ? And even she has, do u really care ??
It's the same for you... with you beard, shaving your neck... Nobody cares, except you. Nobody can SEE it. Except you.

Man, it's frightening me a lot. I'm going to think that outside France, there is no future for normal guys if they do not take care of every square centimeters of their body...

And you are in here because...........?

Listen, I think everybody on this site is at least a little obsessive about their looks, even you Seaback. Technically, to a lot of women, hairloss really isn't too big of deal if you are a great guy that they love to be around but that is besides the point. Most guys want women to find them attractive the moment they lay their eyes on them.

Also, you are from France. Different cultures have different standards. You know, in the Middle East, many cultures believe body odor is a good thing. Here in the USA, if you stink horribly, you better be one hell of a smooth operator to get any action. Unfortunately, as much as I love the USA, the media and commercialism has brainwashed us into being a superclean almost plastic society. That said, it can get sort of lonely if you don't play the game at least a little.

If you want to see a great video that sums up the power of marketing and media, check out this video. I even have it on my MySpace page it so moving.

Enjoy.

But... I just wanted to tell you guys that looking nice will NOT depend on how many hair your have on your head and on your neck. And not only in France. Of course, women will prefer a guy with a full head of thick hair. But, it will be at the 56th position, far away from things like humor, charisma, stable mind and situation, fidelity, projects with her... and ability to take no account of what our society or nasty people can say.

It is supply and demand. If you have absolutely no charisma at all, and a NW3 has tons of it, then you are right. But the fact is 95% of people already have a moderate amount of those qualities, so a woman can get just enough charisma out of a NW1. Also, a NW1 who is getting women will be more confident just from experience. So who do you think a woman will pick: a confident NW1? Or an equally confident NW3? You guys always say looks don't matter by picking an example of a NW1 with absolutely no confidence, but the fact is those guys don't exist, and if they do, they have some other huge physical flaw other than their hair.
Fact: My confidence jumped super high when my face stopped being red the last 3 days.
Fact: My friends, who preach day and night that looks don't matter, who relax over a beer each night at the bar, can't get pretty women. They go out starting conversations and make more money than me, but they refuse to exercise or get laser hair removal or do anything for their appearance besides dress well. They are somewhere between a 6 or 7 on a 10 scale, and had a hair advantage over me, but because I'm shaping my body up and am hairless now, I'm getting a lot more positive looks from women.

How about doing something meaningful with the short period of time that you are alive.
