Updating. I think I'm 3 ½ years in or so now. Funny enough I would say most hair growth have come the last year or so. I've started seeing real hair growth on the hairline even. But everything is going sloooow. I'm thankful enough of not being completely slick bald which I probably would have been by now without finasteride considering the extent of my hairloss and age.

I know I said earlier that I decided against dermarolling, but I think I'm gonna give in now and buy a dermapen. I'll keep updating this thread sporadically, even if I get no decent results atleast I can be a source for long-term finasteride use for new users.

I haven't experienced any sides. During these years I've missed taking my dose for maybe a maximum of 3-4 days. I've been taking Finasteride Accord 1mg since day one.

In November it'll be 5 years since I started taking finasteride.

So far, finasteride have proven to be effective in stopping my hairloss.

However, actual regrowth or thickening have been pretty limited.

What you see on my previous pics in this thread is what my hair still today looks like.

Sooner or later I will probably do a hair transplant. DUPA despite, considering all the years I've been on finasteride and seeing how it stabilized my hairloss, it shouldn't be that hard finding a respectable doctor willing to operate. Only thing making it somewhat complicated is managing getting a transplant with my work schedule.

That sounds like a finasteride success story to me dude, congratulations.

Transplants can be very effective but make sure you do your research, and find an ethical surgeon (or two) to give you an honest evaluation and plan. Don't charge ahead with the first one or skimp on price, remember you can always make more money, but once the donor is gone, it's gone.
