Bad Reaction to Tape

Hi, I'm in a lace unit and attach with tape. Having a nightmare with reaction to tape, specifically
at the front. Using VIP tape, which I'm told is the same as 3M 1522 clear tape.
Can anybody suggest anything to help.
Where can I get the 3M tape in London and how will I know it actually is 3M tape?
I'm getting really desperate with this.
