Ill keep it short.
My life so far

Im 26, first noticed receding hairline and more hairs on pillow at 19. its progressed quite slowy since then but im now nw2ish and my crown is starting to thin.

Hi all,

I didn't do anything about my hair loss untill about five months ago when I decided it was now or never to do somthing about it and got on finasteride 0.5mg ED.

I was pleased enough that my c*** didnt drop off after the first week, infact i would even say my sex drive increased. Weird eh?

I did however suffer a side from the finasteride. ive always been quite stocky naturally but after a month or so on the finasteride I noticed i was losing muscle mass all over my body. I tried to put it out of my head and even started weight training to see if that helped but even when i was training the loss continued untill my arms were like a girls and my body felt weak like an old mans.

Good news is Ive been off the finasteride for a couple of weeks and i have been getting back to normal quickly. Its amazing how much stronger I feel. Strange but very powerful things these hormones. DHT must play a big role in my bodys maintenance process.

So finasteride obviously does not agree with me but I also know I have to stop the DHT getting to my bloody weakling hairs. Is RU a viable alternative. Could RU have a similar effect on muscles?

What else can i do?

By the way why did I have to inheret the bald gene. My older brother (4years) has every single one he was born with the smug c***

It seems strange to me you were getting weak and losing muscle mass but had no side effects with your sexual organs. That reeks of it either being in your head or maybe you were doing something else that was hurting you.

But, I'll take your word for it, whatever.

You're gonna want minoxodil and probably RU.

Paradoxically, sometimes finasteride does increase the sex drive. This is thought to be due to the reflex increase in testosterone levels plus tissue androgen siensitivity that happens with such agents , AKA "reflex hyperandrogenicity".

Also, many persons adjust to the side-effects of finasteride after a bit, such as they are.

nothing i can say that hasnt already been said but maybe itll ease your mind a little to hear it again. sides on finasteride are often said to disappear after a month or so and its also not unlikely that the loss in muscle mass is psychological or all in your mind. sh*t, i could be wrong, but thats what it reeked of to me.
either way, good luck with your hair and hopefully the sides will balance out in the next week or two.
