Back to derm after a year and 3 months on propecia

I first went to the dermatologist back in october 2006. He took pictures of the top of my head, each temple, and hairline. And prescribed me Propecia.

So now it's January 2008 and I went back to get my propecia prescription refilled. First thing he said to me was, "you had regrowth, i can see it right now"

He pulled the pictures out and he took new ones. I thought that I had maintained and had a lil regrowth, but actually, I had tremendous regrowth. He took measurements as well.

6 mm on both sides of my temples came down, the side temples pushed forward by 5 mm. On the crown, I had a thinning area there that completely filled.

I'm lucky and have a great dermatologist. It also shows how important it is to take pictures, in my case, my derm took them for me.

PS1Freak...Where is your dermatologist located and/or how did you go about finding a dermatologist that specializes in treating hair loss with such high interest or skill?

Did you call first to find out what their treatment plan was regarding hair loss?

Did they map you for minaturization?

I am having a hard time finding a dermatologist that will say anything more than, "yep...male pattern baldness...take this propecia and/or use rogaine and good luck."
