Azelaic acid will more than likely do absolutely nothing for you either alone or in combination with minoxidil. There is no evidence that azelaic acid has any positive effect on male pattern baldness. The only study done on it's ability to inhibit 5ar was conducted on foreskins in a test tube....no evidence it works on a living scalp.
