Axl Rose - Question - Did His Hair Age Naturally Or Not?

This was Axl Rose's hairline in the mid 1980s:

In 1994, his hair suddenly began to look different:

He disappeared for years, and cut his hair. This is one of the few pictures of him without a hat in the mid 1990s during his recluse phase, showing his hairline:

and in 1998, he was arrested. But wasn't seen again until 2001 after this.

He re-emerged in 2001 with seemingly much thicker hair:

He re-emerged again with much, much thinner hair than he had had earlier in 2001:

Then for years after, he adopted cornrows, and only let his hair show again beginning in 2009. Since 2009, his hair looks much thicker, wavier and fully (albeit with a high hairline) than it ever did before:

Just wondering what your verdict is: Did he have a hair transplant? Was he wearing a wig in 2001? Or perhaps his hair texture just changed naturally with age, given that he still has a very high hairline as he always naturally has?

He had a hair transplant. It didn't give him the density he needed. He took to wearing scarves. Last I saw him he was wearing a wig that had a dreadlock configuration

I'm a big Guns N Roses fan, it's funny before I started losing my own I never gave a second thought to Axl's hair lol.

Given how bad his hair was in the 80s and that finasteride didn't come out until the late 90s, he's obviously had some work done and I reckon he wears some kind of low density wig these days.

The dreadlocks were obviously a wig.

Slash is thinning out as well but he has his hat to hide behind
