I recently began taking avodart in liquid form. .5mg a day. I took this for 5 days and began feeling weird. this made me reconsidering messing with my hormone balances. I quit taking avodart. Im wondering on what kinda ball park figures i might of lowered my dht. i can still get an erection however my desire for sex has lessened. How long will it take to be completely out of my body?

I take Avodart, one capsule daily. Dutasteride is a strong medication since it's specifically synthesized to lower DHT systemically. Dutasteride has a half-life of approximately five weeks, so it should take approximately that amount of time for it to be completely out of your system, maybe longer.

I'm sorry that you experienced lower libido. Your libido will return since you stopped taking Avodart.

Avodart has a long half life it will be months. You will start to feel better long before that though, likely, since people's sides get somewhat better with time even if they continue with the medication. Your dht is already very very low, probably already close to bottomed out
