Hey everyone,
I used to use propecia, then moved on to avodart, then stopped both. I went to the derm today to get a prescription for proscar because I decided to start it back up...anyways, I got the prescription, but the problem is, I use an online pharmacy (cheaper) and it usually takes about 2 weeks for them to deliver it. I was looking for some of my old proscar tabs so that I could start up right away, but all I could find was 4 avodart pills that I have left over. My question is, can I use the avodart to "get things started" while I wait for my proscar? I seem to remember that avodart continues to work for a couple days, so I was thinking that I could take 1 pill every 3-4 days, and by the time I'm out my proscar would be here. Does this make sense, or would it be a better idea to front-load the avodart?

Thanks,
Luke

I am not sure that avodart and propecia work the same way so I cannot advise you on that. BUT:I feel that you are being a bit impalsive with your regiments. Dont jump on and off this time.

Since you have decided to start, stick to it.

I'm not planning on stopping/starting. I used propecia for a full 15 months previously, and then switched immediately to avodart for 8 months, at which time I stopped all internal medications because I had some alarmnig blood tests that turned out to be unrelated to any medication. Now I am starting propecia again because I cannot afford avodart and am concerned about unknown side-effects from long-term use of avodart. I plan on staying on propecia indefinitely as soon as I recieve it. I'm just looking to start things now, instead of waiting 2 weeks...I'm impatient, that's all.
