I have been using propecia for 6 years & it has been very effective up until a few months ago--I have lost quite a bit of hair since then-I am hoping this is just stress related. I have jumped to avodart .5mg/day figuring that is stronger. Would everyone agree that .5mg avodart a day is stronger than 1 propecia pill? Is it insane to take both AVO & Propecia at the same time?

I am also considering adding a secondary treatment like tricomin or revivogen. I tried minoxidil in the past & it was totally ineffective. Is there one secondary treatment that I should go for first? I think my hairloss is mainly DHT related since the propecia was so effective so maybe revivogen, but tric seems more proven. Would also like it if someone could recommend a shampoo.

As serious as you are about saving your hair, I would strongly suggest Dr. Lee's topical 2% spironolactone. spironolactone prevents attachment of androgens to the follicle receptor sites. I grew a lot of hair using it as a single agent for 3 months. I would also start on a growth stimulator...in my case I use both minoxidil and Crew Copper Peptides.

Don't forget the Nizoral, which fights scalp fungus and inflammation, both of which are implicated in male pattern baldness. btw, CU peptides fight inflammation too.

Androgens are just one of four major factors culminating in hair loss.

spironolactone

Can you send me a link/where to get info on the spironolactone. Is it alcohol based? What do you think of tricomin?
Thanks.

http://www.minoxidil.com

I use the alcohol based 2%. I didn't feel like the 5% version worked as well. Plus, its only $20 and last about 2 1/2 months. I use the crew revitalizing spray. It just as strong, if not stronger than tricomin. It smells great, which perfectly masks the smell of the spironolactone. It also cost less.
