what are the chances of avodart being beneficial to you.

I mean i know propecia has a 83% chance of working for you.

Does anyone know the % rate for avodart

As far as I know, no such percentage for dutasteride exists. The 83% figure comes from phase 3 of the official Propecia trial. Maybe once dutasteride has completed it's phase 3 trial we'll have an idea of how many people respond.

Maybe the more knowledgeable folks can speculate, but that's all - no one really has exact figures, as far as I know.

Bear in mind though, that some people, like Dr. Rassman from baldingblog.com, say that nobody doesn't respond to the drugs. It's just some people respond better. So, the drugs always work to slow your hairloss whether or not it seems that you are losing ground. Anyway, because of the timescale of hair cycles and such you shouldn't be worrying about the drugs not working until you've been on them for a good 9-12 months. Easier said than done, I know!
