Also, what do you think about Armani saying things don't look good with HM?

I think all hair transplant docs will say that so you don't put off hair transplant.

If HM ever does become available who do you think will be performing the surgery? The current hair transplant Docs will simply branch out into performing HM aswell (whats the difference between implanting cloned follicles as opposed to natural ones?) and it will render hair transplant's unneccesary. Either way they will still have business and still make money.

I disagree. Intercytex is planning on the procedure being performed by dermatologists in addition to hair transplant surgeons. This would exponentially increase their competition. Of course at the same time, the customer base would be broaded, but I don't think it would make up for the fact that it will be cheaply available at your local dermatologists eventually.

I think the main reason hair transplant surgeons downlplay HM is because they don't want people waiting for it and putting off a hair transplant.

Thats probably right but there is plenty of truth in what they say, HM has been just around the corner for this whole decade and it aint going to be readily available anytime soon. I bet we'll still be having this conversation in 3/4 yrs time.

Optimist,

You are welcome. It was in August of 2005 when he had his surgery, so FUE had in fact been around for awhile. He was not one of the first to do it. In fact he waited around and saw more and more docs doing it, mostly on Hairsite and HLH.

I agree S.A.F. and as much as I wish HM were here now, been waiting for nearly thirty years!

I've been watching it for the last 4 years and have seen incredible progress. I remember when I was first looking into it people were talking about a few crackpots doin it in mice etc. Now corporations are doing it in people. Sure, it might not happen, but things are definately looking far better than they did 4 years ago.
