Aveda pure abundance hair potion and minoxidil

Just got the Aveda pure abunance hair potion, its quite good for diffuse thinners, question is, is it safe to use alongside the liquid minoxidil? Does anyone else out there use these 2 together?

Scouse, I use the potion sometimes, when I go out and that. Even when I try to apply it carefully to my hair, I have the feeling that some of the powder goes to the scalp, probably blocking the pores. The safest way I suppose is to apply first minoxidil, allowing it to dry as long as you can, and then use the potion. And I always do a more careful hairwash than usual the next day.
