Hey I have seen on some other posts that you have been using proxiphen since may. I was just curious where your current hair situation is/ where are you trying to get some regrowth. I also think i remember you have had a little regrowth like velous hairs or something( i am still not sure what those are I am kinda of a transitioning newbie). I was just curious when those hairs sprouted?

My situation is that I am 20 years old and first noticed some hairloss at 18 I am like a Norwood 1.5-2 because my right side is getting worse. I am just hoping to maybe regrow a little at the hairline. I have also been on proxiphen for 2 and 1/2 months and have had zero results and have shed a little more. I am just wondering what kind of results i should hopefully be seeing and if for you, you just saw some thin hairs just sprout and thats what i should be hoping for?

I think you might one of the only posters using this stuff or atleast pretty recently so I am just curious how it is going for you and the patterns of growth and what not.

Thanks

Hey there, sorry i've taken so long to respond, i haven't been on for a while.

Well i'm really not sure what proxiphen is doing for me, as i need to compare pics. That being said if it's doing anything its not all that noticeable, because my right temple i swear is getting worse. My left is absolutely fine and i wont not be surprised if it turned out I had thickened up there, since my entire left side of my head as well as the temple has no signs of hair loss at all.

The hairs at the front, the very small ones, i have recently lost i think. I swapped from finasteride to dutasteride twice a week, so this could be the cause. If i start losing more i'll try finasteride... again... though the bizarre abdomenal pains and extreme discomfort will most likely make this impossible. Also, dutasteride twice a week has been much much better for my libido and erections.

I dont think i'd be using it if I was using one vial per month, but since i make each last 3 times longer its not too bad. However the main reason i keep using it is simply because its very, very easy to use, convenient and is most likely helping by at least slowing loss or maintaining. And the knowledge that on paper it should really be doing a whole lot.

Hope this helps

Felk,

I'm not sure if I would expect great results with it if you are making 1 bottle last 3 months. Dr. Proctor is pretty specific when he says that 1 vial should last 1 month. Just my 2 cents for ya.

ya i have been using it for three months on dec. 11 and i have applied it twice a day because i have such a small area to apply it to (just my hairline) and have been able to use a vile a month, but still no results, i guess i am hoping for something to just happen all at once because it hasn't even slowed down loss.

It will take longer than 3 months to see results. Give it at least 6 months before you evaluate.

Sorry but I can't agree with you on that.

There could only be two reasons for using up a certain amount each month:

1) The stuff might degrade. Now this isn't a problem since I bought 4 vials at once, and he said refrigerate them and they'd be fine. I keep the vial i use in the fridge so this isn't an issue

2) A certain amount is needed for a certain area. I only apply it to my temples, some people apply it to their whole head, so there's no way I'm not using enough stuff, I use plenty for that small area.

Some more random points:

- Dr P admits in some of his questions that "some people make their proxiphen last longer" and doesn't say this is a problem.
- Bryan has advised people in the past when they've asked about how much to use, that he'd "be tempted to try it at half the recommended dose"
- The person who pmed me about his good results using proxiphen on his hairline used a 1/3rd of a vial a month.

A vial? Doesnt Proxiphen come in a cream?

Or has Proctor now changed his Proxiphen Formula to a solution and now package it in a vial, as opposed to a jar of cream?

Yes, Proxiphen is a cream, and it comes in a vial.
