Hi all!
I am trying to figure out how bad my hair thinning is and what I should do about it. I should have reached out for opinions years ago.
This is what my hair looks like when I comb it to be "fluffy." Nothing noticeably wrong, right?

But when it's uncombed or I go out and about for a little bit, it falls apart and this is what it looks like (so this is what it "normally" looks like). Even if I use gel, you can see the scalp through the grouped-together chunks of hair. I exaggerated it a bit here by manipulating the hair to show the full effect:

The front of my scalp thinned roughly during my Junior year of college in 2010. Since then, it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse -- it's almost like something "happened" to it, but then it stopped. If it has gotten any worse, it's been minimal.
My hair line has not changed at all. Just the thinning in the front. I do not notice an excess amount of hair on the shower floor or anything like that.
No one in my family is bald or has thinning hair. We're Armenian and have thick hair. My grand grandfather on my mom's side went mostly bald, but that's it. My grandpas, dad, and brothers all had/have perfect hair. Not sure how genetics plays a part, but thought I would throw this info out there.
So the front of my hair IS thinning / has thinned, right? Or am I looking too much into this? My mom says it has thinned, and I certainly feel it has.
I've been using Jason Thin-To-Thick Shampoo and Conditioner, so I'm not sure if that has helped stop it from becoming worse. This is what puzzles me about my thinning, that it doesn't seem to have progressed at all.
I've read on here about Propecia / Rogaine etc. Based on these photos, what would you recommend I start doing? Is Rogaine enough for a case like this, or should I go for the "Big Three?"
Oh, in case it's important, I'm 28.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide! This site is so informative, and I thank you for putting together such a wonderful resource!
