Please tell me whether I am balding (male pattern baldness, diffuse thinning, etc.) and at what stage am I in ?

Should I jump to finasteride now ? Please help

you seem to be thinning diffusely with a bit of recession in the hairline , not sure about your stage,
You will probably respong to finasteride if you decide you want to jump on it , check for nutritional deficiencies aswell

You are diffusely thinning in the crown. Earliest stage. If you want to keep what you have then finasteride is the answer. Were you born in 1992? Age 26 more or less?

Yes. I am 26 now. About to jump to finasteride now, but I am damn scared, not the side effects (libido or whatever), but losing more hair due to something called "reflex androgenicity". I am Asian btw.

theres a higher chance that you get hit by a car while going for groceries , than getting reflex hyperandrogenicity

i had been on it for 2.5 years , i had a pattern similar with yours and it definitely stabilised while taking it , and had some regrowth too .
Also check for thyroid and deficiencies ,they contribute often to diffuse thinning

Btw, how much are you taking ? 0.5mg or 1mg ? Are you taking generic or propecia ?

About thyroid etc you have to take blood tests , they will measure some values and you ll see if anything is not looking good.
In my country an endocrinologist can prescribe almost everything , but even a gp can prescribe the most basic ones

no, i didnt go through a shed when i started , or it was so small that i didnt notice it !
