At This Point I'm Guessing I'm Just Not A Responder To Aas

Been on dutasteride for 20 months now and still receding at the hairline. As many know I'm thick everywhere else but the recession has been pretty continuous. Please don't compare my situation to yours. It's mine that affects me. Not trying to take away from your situations but I don't go into other people's threads with the mindset to compare. It's pointless and doesn't help the OP. I started out with rogaine for 6 months and it did wonders. But then, realizing that it wasn't the actual solution I jumped straight to dutasteride and have been receding and shedding and receding ever since. Here are the pics to finally prove it. First image was in December of last year (don't have pics from when I first started treatment unfortunately, but these pics prove what I've been suspecting) Second image is today. To those of you who say I'm thick that may be, but my recession is not stopping and for putting such a hard drug into my body I should have it gotten it to at least slow down to a crawl. And even if the difference is small the amount of time it took me to recede that much is still not a crawl. Either my recession is just too aggressive (dutas might be still be slowing it down a little) or I'm not a responder and rogaine is still helping to a degree? What do you think I should do at this point? If I haven't seen regrowth or stabilization at this point I don't see it happening in the future. I'm on nizoral and I derma roll too.

dutasteride doesn't hold the hairline for a lot of people, it's almost a given, why would you even need to be surprised? If it makes you thick everywhere else and reverses all the diffuse it's clear sign that you are a good responder to the drug. So instead of being emotional and breaking the hearts of people way way worse than you maybe look into RU/CB on hairline

What's CB? And if I'm still receding those thick parts won't be thick for long. And no it is not almost a given that it doesn't work on the hairline. Don't know where you heard that.

And breaking the hearts of those worse than me? Someone is always gonna be worse than you. That's the only given you stated you f*****g idiot. It's responses like this that show the ignorance of so many on this forum. I ask a f*****g question. And you spill into a soap opera of how dutasteride "doesn't work on the hairline" blah blah blah bullshit and then try to reverse the whole point of this thread. You simple f***. So how about you give me a simple answer. Getting real tired of the uselessness of this site. There's not a lot of long term dutasteride users on here. So while I actually give you guys pictures a.k.a imperical motherfucking evidence of long term dutasteride use how about you throw me a goddamn bone for once without the being so *** hurt at the same f*****g time on my thread and without giving me bullshit "that doesn't work on the hairline" or "breaking the hearts of others" like a f*****g drama queen. No, it's either I'm not a responder or I have aggressive recession as it reduces so much dht and stops hairloss in 99% of men. And I never said I was diffuse. For fucks sake. And of course my hair will thicken if I'm using rogaine you retard.

There is no point in insulting someone who is much more informed than you and is trying to help.

I have accounts on all public& private forums and have seen quite a lot long term cases of dutasteride. There is a clear pattern.

You successfully shut down our potentially benefitial discussion, which was my original intension.Good luck with regrowth.

@zetta98 you gotta roll the dice. I'll bet your gains in overall thickness are due mostly to minoxidil. Either add RU for a few months or drop the dutasteride and see what happens after the shed. Theres no sure answer. Worst case you drop dutasteride, pay a price, and get back on it. You'll still be better off in that case vs. having done nothing 2yrs ago. At least you'll know what's working.

I'm always confused when people say "add RU" so blase like its available at Walgreens. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how difficult it is to procure? It still has to be mixed yourself and the source could be dodgy, right?

Your original intention? If that was the case you would have given more than dutasteride
does nothing for the hairlin and breaking hearts of others worse than you. Go Fock yourself. You know nothing obviously.

You gotta look it up on the forums my friend. It's there. But the fact it is not as good as dutasteride. It is a topical. And dutasteride is shown to be succeful 99% of the time ANYWHERE where there's hair on the scalp. Forget what WMQ said. He bases his facts off bullshit on forums and not actual studies.

Are you sure your hairline has really receded more? Take the picture at the same angle. I know you think its the same angle but its not at all. Your current picture needs to be from a higher up point.

I will try it. Do you think it's possible to be shedding still at this point? I also admit I was off dutasteride for 3 weeks a couple of months of ago due to really bad shipping issues. From this site actually. But I don't think that should make a difference. Does it?

Definitely possible. My hair loss was brutal the entire 3 years on finasteride. Not everyone responds well to AR inhibitors. Your hair still looks really good (you're still a NW2). Difficult to tell if your hairline continued to recede or not from these pictures tho. And 3 weeks off duta probably wouldn't do anything, especially given the long half life.

Thanks man. I will update you at the two year mark alone. Everyone else who viewed this is useless. Thanks my friend.

Flipping back and forth between those pics I can't really tell that you continued to recede. Hairline looks to be pretty much the exact same spot.

Founded a pic of me right when I first started dutasteride (after 6 months of rogaine, the results were incredible).I tried to take one as similar as I could today. Here they are. First is from 20 months ago. Second is from today. I know the lighting is a little different but it's the best I can do with my stupid bathroom setup.

Here we are again. People viewing without giving opinions. Are you f*****g serious? It's not that f*****g hard. Give me your opinion unless you are so confuse with your own choice...or gender (like so many these days). For those of you that viewed I would have loved a simple f*****g response.
