Hello People,

this is the first time I post a message.
I just need some help, and I really need some help deciding. Sorry for posting this question here, but theres so many places that I just don't know where to post it.

Im 21 years old, and I have seen that my hair has been falling more than normal since the summer. Now, I'm starting to see my right front side's scalp and I want to do something about this now. By the way, I also have a lot of dandruff

I have been reading the websites about Shampoos, serums, and propecia. Honestly, I really dont know what to decide.
Should I go to a specialist? or should I invest in REVIVOGEN (because I hear good reviews about it in different websites)

If I go to a specialist how much would it cost me to go there? (does insurance cover these doctors?)

I have been thinking about going to a specialist because I will be able to get Propecia through prescription (which I have also read it stops hair loss)

Please help with your comments

Welcome to the forums.

Please review our FAQ. Unlike what you may find on other sites that exist to sell a single product, the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) document was written by a fellow hair loss sufferer and the information there can be trusted. Here is the link:

The short answer to your question is that you want to use something proven. You are smart to start something right away. Since you are just beginning to see thinning hair, you are in a very good position. There is nearly a 100% chance you will be able to keep all of your hair for many years to come.

Your inflammation and irritation and itching are most likely the biggest cause of your hair loss at this time. Therefore I would get Nizoral shampoo and begin using it immediately. Apply it when you get in the shower and let it sit on your head while you wash. Then reapply again and let it sit for a minute or two. Then rinse. Do this once every 3rd day. Within a week or two, your scalp will no longer feel enflamed and your hair will stop falling out so much within 1-3 months. Continue with the Nizoral.

As far as deciding what treatment to use, always start with the treatments that have been tested and shown results in clinical trials. Propecia and Rogaine (Minoxidil) are the two most clinically proven treatments. Since you are just starting to lose hair, Nizoral and Propecia should be 100% sufficient for you to maintain all of your hair for many years. You can save Rogaine(minoxidil) for later.

Note, you may experience increased shedding in the first few months after starting Propecia. This means the treatment is working. Continue with it and look forward to month 5-7 where your hair looks better than before.

Save treatments like Revivogen, etc, for later if Propecia and Minoxidil stop working for you. I have a feeling that by the time that happens, there will be a whole new bunch of treatments available to choose from.
