Asians and finasteride

Why is it that Asians have so much more success on finasteride? Seriously, I'm sure many of you who have been lurking around all these hairloss sites have realized this. Every time there is an Asian doing a 1 year comparison of finasteride, they always end up with a thick ***, full head of hair.

A friend of mine back in college was Chinese and starting to heavily diffuse. The first thought in my head was, "psh, he's Asian, he could grow all his hair back if he wanted to on finasteride".

Does anyone else notice this?

Also they are good at math, bad at driving, and possibly from the future.

I haven't noticed it, but I have not been on these boards long

If I remember correctly, there were studies done for treating acne and androgenic alopecia using different ethnics and the ones who had the best response from using anti-androgens were of Asian descent. I don't think it's fully understood why they respond better than everyone else.

According to their studies, literally everything from pumpkin seeds to human faeces helps Androgenetic Alopecia in Asians. If I see a study with Korean author names I don't even bother. The GSK 4 year dutasteride trial was done in Korea and surprise surprise, 99.4% success rate.

Well, I am half japanese(mother), half italian(father) and I am taking finasteride 1mg for 4 years. I lost some hair but I am still only NW1. I think asians have thicker hair and maybe it makes the follicle more resistant to the dht(only a guess)... But it's not my case because my my hair is similar to my father's when he was young.
