Hi there -

I was once stupid enough to pay through the nose at A & M.

One thing they did have that I liked was their treatments....
They had this laser like comb that made some high pitched noise and sent little electro type needles into your scalp.
This thing felt quite strange, could bring water to your eyes and made me sneeze. Not to say it was bad but I'm trying to describe it a little better so it's not mixed up as a light laser therapy comb (like the hairmax or leimar)

Anyway - I find that using minxodil gives me quite bad dandruff and when I did go in and get this treatment their comb seemed to get rid of all the loose flakes off my scalp as well as make it feel as if minoxidil was being absorbed better.

Can anybody tell me the name of the comb I'm trying (pethetically) to describe as I want to purchase one.....
A & M are asking $828 for it and as per all their prices I reckon I can get it elsewhere for cheaper.

thanks in advance

if you are looking to get rid of the flakes look into nizoral and T-gel shampoo. With time they will go, dont spend all that money on a device like that. im from melb and have been to A&M they will try rip you off in every way, stay away....

cheers Goingat20... I totally intend on steering clear of A&M....

I've tried multiple dandruff shampoos (Nizoral included) but find that no matter what I use minoxidil always makes me flaky -

It's not only for the dandruff that I want to use this comb though - it was mainly that to me it felt like it made the absorbtion of the minoxidil was better, plus it actually felt like it had done something to my scalp....
Do you know what this device is called at all as I'd like to search for one elsewhere?

not too sure about the comb but to get rid of the flakes you could You could switch to a reduced PPG formula, which is Dr Lee's "standard" 5% minoxidil. It's not replaced by glycerin in this formulation, but merely the PPG/Alcohol balance is slightly tipped towards a higher alcohol content.

That would be a good first step.. but, you might want to wait it out a little bit. It could be just a matter of time and patience, and the itching and flaking might subside on their own.
