Aromatase inhibitor for gynecomastia treatment

Hello All,

I have a doctors appointment and wanted to ask my Doctor if he thinks its wise to prescribe an AI to fix my gyno problem. I genetically always had slight gyno, but now, even with exercise and low body fat, i still have gyno, more than the regular kind im used to.

I think if my Doctor prescribed AI or a estrogen reducing drug while doing monthly blood tests it wouldn't really cause much harm. Also, what tests besides estrogen/estridiol should he be monitoring to see if I am at appropriate levels?

thank you

You might want to test for progesterone and prolactin since they both can play a role in gyno.

Letro is the strongest AI which is often recommended for gyno reversal. However it may cause some estro rebound which is why Aromasin is often preferred.

Also Raloxifene is a SERM which a very high affinity to binding to estrogen receptors in the breast. A combo of Ralox with Aromasin would destroy most gyno cases.

can aromatose inhibitors actually reverse or get rid of gyno, when you've already developed it?

When I saw a doctor about my gyno problem he said the only option to fix it was surgery.

That depends how long the gyno has existed for. A few months? It more than likely could be reversed. A few years? Unlikely

But I and other friends who have used AAS have overcome different severities of gyno.

If the gyno is harsh I would run:
Raloxifene 120/90/60/30
Letrozole 2.5mg for a few weeks then taper down the dosage every 3 days to avoid rebound
Lastly after Aromasin 12.5mg ED or EOD for a couple weeks to ensure no estrogen rebound

developed gyno years ago, so I guess it's unlikely AI's will help. It developed quite quickly but it hasn't got any worse in the intervening years - just stayed the same.

I am trying to lose weight to burn off any fat that may be there. I think it's a mixture of fat and glandular tissue - the nipples are fine, but the breasts are swollen.

out of interest why have you used so many aromatose inhibitors in the past - are you a bodybuilder?

Ok I see.

I lift but my commitment varies b/t football and bbing.

But I have a lot of friends in the game. I just have some solid base number in medicine taught by others that are very knowledgeable in that area.

One listed side effect of Aromasin is hairloss. Does use of finasteride. nullify the potential Aromasin hairloss? Is estrogen itself good for hair?
