Aren't They Allowed To Do Blood Transfusions Now?

They're doing FDA sponsored testing to inject the blood of young people into older people to see if it slows down the aging process. Aren't they already allowed to do this commercially since they do blood transfusions all the time. Am I allowed to pay younger people, with my same blood type, for their blood?

Yes I've read stories of the wealthy doing this but it's incredibly expensive. I don't remember what country it was in but it was legal and allowed just pricier than I could ever afford.
It was actually a pretty recent story if I can find the link later I'll post it

Please do.

What we really need is progress on stem cells to the point where new organs be grown or multiplied. If you could replace older organs with new ones you essentially could be young again internally at least.
I understand though the complexities of trying to grow an organ probably composed of many different complicated cell types, but it seems like it might be possible someday. To me that is the gold at the end of the rainbow for stem cells and a true fountain of youth.

Thanks. Here's another story that indicates that there are quite a few people
looking at young-to-old blood transfusions as a way to reverse aging at least
a little bit. And every little bit helps. You do a little of this, and a little of that, and
a little of something else, and a few more things, and then maybe you reach a
point where all of these things collectively might turn back your biological clock
enough to see a difference. With all of the research going on into the reversing
the aging process I really do think we will see dramatic news about this in just
a few years. I really believe that within 4 1/2 years they will be able to reverse
the human aging process dramatically.

And there's another story about it in the news this very day:

The fact they still cite evidence from mouse studies really doesnt give me much confidence in any of it.

That's why they're now moving to human studies. And I don't think they'll need to do the full battery of phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3 studies. I think it's already legal to do young-to-old blood transfusions so they may only have to do one round of human studies to confirm a benefit for humans and then clinics should be able to immediately commercialize these young-to-old blood transfusions. I suspect that this method of slowing down the aging process, which might possibly save some hair, could be in the general marketplace by 2018 if a benefit to humans is proved in these ongoing studies.

This sounds like a Frankenstein movie, and a bad one at that.

Where are they doing this?

Also, what happens if they inject animal blood into someone? Do they become an
animal?

I'm gonna ask Michel Sepin that question! I consider him an expert.

Are you serious?

We're talking about blood transfusions.

Blood transfusions are pretty routine.

And who's Michael Sepin?

Of course I'm serious. Why do you ask?

What if you inject pigs blood in yourself. What would happen?

Would you turn into bacon?

LOL!

I am NOT going to inject pig blood into myself.

But now that you raise the issue the answer is YES, if I were to inject pig blood into myself I would certainly turn into bacon.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was actually going to do that.

I heard it was a turn on.

Someone named Roseanne Barr told me that. She said she met this guy, rhymed with shameless?

But I don't know who she means.

Duchovny's hair is OUT THERE. He needs to find it.

He's the only guy I know who started balding in his thirties. (besides BT).

I think he's cute.

And the chick is doable too.

When I get my hair back I may do them both.
