ok this might sound dumb, but bear in mind i am 18 and havn't really dealed with this stuff before. Anyway here's the thing, I recently switched doctors and went into my new one to get a prescription for propecia. i was kind of embarrassed talking to him about it etc but anyway he agreed to give me one and then said he's going to call the nearest walgreens?

So i thanked him and he left and i left and i kinda wanted to get out of there cuz it was getting a little awkward. so my question is, wasnt i supposed to get like a paper or something that i would bring to the pharmacy and then they would give me the pills?.

Or is this fairly common practice and do i just go there and tell them that my Doctor phoned in, give my name etc. Im askin here cuz i sort of want to keep all possible convo time with the likely 10 year older than me pharmacist with the fabio hair at a minimum, given im so young and noticably balding and i feel slightly embarrassed. anywhoo, any advice would be preciated.

Also, sory, one more thing, my Doctor recommended me get proscar and quarter it instead of propecia because he said it would be more affordable on my part time salary. if i was to do this, how/with what would i cut it with? can u just use like a knife, sorry for long post, peace

you dont need a piece of paper if he said he was going to call..you can just pick it up after he calls...you should cut it with a razor blade that would probly work best...

Billybob,

This is fairly common for a GP or pediatrician to call in prescriptions. Just go to the pharmacy he prescribed it and tell the pharmacist you would like to pick up your script and give them your name. Then you are done.
