Are you jealous of men who won the genetic lottery?

Not really not everything comes down to looks the initial phase probably will but a bad personality and character will quickly have you ousted for what you truly are.

Honestly at this point i'm envious (not jealous) of you guys who lose your hair slowly over the course of 5-10 years. My hair loss pattern seems to be fairly aggressive (had a solid NW1 with slightly thinned temples less then 6 months ago but now i'm already developing a bald spot on my crown and thinning substantially in my forelock/frontal hairline). I got on finasteride before it progressed badly but still losing noticeably by the week after a month. Hopefully my genes aren't so aggressive to deem treatments ineffective. My only saving grace is I started losing closer to 30 then 20 (first noticed slightly thin temples when I was 26 going on 27 and I just turned 28).

It does not bother me. What bothers me is seeing NW1 model-like characters in video games and in movies, I guess it hurts me knowing I could never be that character because of male pattern baldness. Consider how rampant male pattern baldness is in the UK I rarely see guy with a full of head and if I do, no doubt I'll see some nw5 guy moments later. I think it would piss off anyone if you were surrounded by nw1's all the time, guys in their late 30's and you're there severely balding in your early twenties.

Japanese games are the worst. I used to love Final Fantasy and all that. I used to imagine myself as Cloud Strife or Squall or Tidus, now playing them is literally painful. Bit hard to relate to NW1 dreamboats with crazy hair when you're going bald. I was playing the Last of Us and just thinking how amazing Joel's hair is for a guy in his 50s. I guess I could always go play Hitman! We need ugly characters to make us feel less inadequate, but nobody wants to play as an uggo!

No, I was fortunate in getting the tall genes from my dads side of the family, even though they also have ****ty hair genes. So even if I do go bald I will still be about 6'3 or 6'4, and I'm always in shape too. I know a lot of taller guys that will try to critique shorter people complaining about their height, and I always thought that was stupid because clearly height does play a fairly big role in life. Of course a tall guy with zero confidence won't get anybody, but I dont believe when I hear someone say height doesn't matter. Guess its like when people say balding doesnt matter.

Yes, I'm jealous of the following;

  1. Being a privileged fullhead
  2. Not being insulted, ridiculed, humiliated in public
  3. Being able to score a better job
  4. Being treated with respect far more often
  5. Having women not see you as a loser/creep due to poor hair genetics
  6. Being able to live life ignorantly of hair loss problems
  7. Not having my identity stripped away from me

The list goes on... of course I'm jealous. But who gives a fuck? It's not like this is a woman's problem where it would be met with widespread sympathy and media attention, or god forbid, medical research to find a cure. This is mens health and thus nobody wants to talk about it.

I agree but it looks like the good hair transplant is the only real solution we have right now. I don't have high hopes for cure , maybe more 5 years? lol
