Brands like Nioxin or Revivogen have a complete set of hair care products starting with the shampoo, then conditioner, then a leave in scalp stimulating formula.

My question is....is the leave in scalp stimulating formula useful at all? and is it like minoxidil where you have to continuously use it or the hair that grew in will fall out if you stop?

Does anyone have any experience or insight to this?

No one really knows since these firms lack studies they haven't made up on their on. But with Revivogen the scalp solution is most important thing in the program. It's what according to them is going to reduce the scalp DHT and prevent hair loss. And yes, it actually reduce some DHT, but the stuff you put on your hair is oily and sticky. Many people have complained that it gives a scalp inflammation which is a really bad idea. And some of the ingridients in revivogen can actually be bad for hair. Still havnt seen more than one "happy" user. I would much rather use spironolactone og proxiphen(i use this), and use a P-O or Keto shampoo that actually has studies supporting then. Then you could use nano conditioner or a tea three conditioner. Nioxon and Revivogen shampoos aint the best ones out there, and nioxon use all they money on marketing/selling their product and not on research.

About the "minoxidil" question. minoxidil works in a half-know way that no other legit drug works, so nothing can "work like minoxidil", therefor drop minoxidil and the minoxidil dependent hair will fall. But a topical antiandrogen comes in many different types and works in the same way, but off course some are stronger than others. But because they work the same way they could be switched around each other and achieve result.

There are no cures in hair loss, so you will still need to treat your hairloss to keep your hair.

Ok, well if you were going to buy a shampoo like revivogen or nioxin or tricomin which all come with a complete set, would you spend your money on the shampoo, conditioner and the formula or would you just buy the shampoo?
