are finasteride and dutasteride pills dangerous to animals?

i heard that it's bad for pregnant woman or children to come in contact with finasteride pills. if i have 5mg pills and am cutting them up into quarters is it dangerous to come in contact with pets after? can it have an effect on them?

As far as I know, Finasteride is a short-acting medication that should stop working within 24 hours, although its effects can be longer in pets with liver or kidney disease.
