Are buckwheat, oats considered as grains? Are they bad for hair?

Dr. Mercola said to avoid grains in order to have hair. Does he mean gluten or grains in general (like buckwheat and oats too)? Is there anybody who could answer this? I eat about 250 g of buckwheat almost daily and have rapid male pattern baldness at the moment. I am wondering if buckwheat is related to this.

I don't know much about buckwheat, but an ideal diet for your whole body inflammatory response, and one that is ultimately good for your hair is actually pretty simple. I do believe inflammation greatly contributes to speeding up Androgenetic Alopecia. There are "pro-inflammatory" carbs and "anti-inflammatory" carbs. The best diets overall obviously consist of the later. imo, reduction in carbs in general is good for the body. The anti-inflammatory carb foods are good for you in a million different ways as well. My diet recently, and the diet that I have felt best with in my entire life consists of lean meats and organic veggies and the occasional fruit. It helps to keep in shape, maintain a healthy blood glucose level and DEFINITELY helps with overall immune response.

Eh, I want to believe in this.. But the truth is that my male pattern baldness accelerated when I switched to healthy, mostly organic food (no gluten, no dairy, no added sugar, no red meat, limited consumption of potatoes). What an unlucky coincidence... I even consume curcumin about 1 tablespoon daily for about a year. It didn't even prevent me from male pattern baldness.

By the way, what is this magical keyword `inflammation`? Can it be measured? I had some C-Reactive Protein tests, they showed almost zero. Does it mean I don't have inflammation everybody is referring to in the forums like this?

Thanks for reply. I guess dr. Mercola was wrong with this, male pattern baldness is more complicated.
