Hello,
I don't know if I'm right here but I wonder if potent Anti-androgens such as Bicalutamide are as effective as topical creams (If there was a topical Bicalutamide cream on the market) Because I think Spironolactone oral and topical is way too weak. I recently read this: ''Hormones taken orally enter the bloodstream from the small intestine and go directly to the liver. Because the liver is not accustomed to receiving large amounts of hormones, it begins to break them down, leaving only a small percentage of the ingested hormone available to cells. '' According to that you only would need signficant lower doses of the Anti-androgen when you choose to taking them topically. Does this apply to non-steroidal Anti-androgens such as Flutamide & Bicalutamide as well? Does taking them orally reduce their molecular bioavailability and stability in comparison to topical treatment (creams)? Besides that, I've heard that transgender people get injections to block their male hormones; does anyone know the name of this medication? Are these Gnrh-Analoga? Does this kind of treatment block estrogen production as well?
I know, that were a couple too many questions but I'm too curios.
Thanks!
