Applying nizoral

Hey guys I have long hair and I'm having a hard time getting nizoral directly applied to the scalp and it mostly just coats my hair. Does this reduce effectiveness? I'm having a hard time getting into the scalp because the stuff doesn't really foam or bubble up or anything. Any suggestions?

I also have long hair, and you definitely want to get as much on the scalp as possible. What I usually do is wet my hair and then bend forward so my hair is facing the floor then I try to get a good lather going and rub it into my scalp, I like to leave it in for a few minute then I rinse it off.

Nizoral usually lathers up pretty good when I use it. Maybe you need to use more, or use it twice. Since I usually have minoxidil on my hair I will wash my hair and rinse it withing a minute or so. Wash my face to clean whatever minoxidil might have traveled down to my face, then wash my hair again. The lather should be pretty thick on clean hair.

Pretty simple: you mix (do not foam up) shampoo and 70vol% alcohol 1:1 i.e. 10ml and 10ml; apply with a pipette directly onto the scalp, do not foam up the stuff, just like you would apply i.e. minoxidil. Let sit for 30 minutes the wash off. Apply every other day. Wash your hair with some ordinary shampoo.

I found I had slight problems lathering up the nizoral shampoo because I would literally smack on a dollop of shampoo on my head and at times not use enough. I found the best way to apply nizoral on the scalp is by spreading it evenly across both my hands and massaging my hair with my fingers spread out to get deep in my hair. Don't be too gentle or else you'll accomplish nothing, i've always been overly gentle with my hair. Our hair is tougher than we think. O yes also make sure your hair is wet, running your hair in a shower for only 30 seconds doesn't fully soak your hair. I bathe usually when I apply nizoral so it is easier, but I try yo cup the water so it fully soaks my hair.
As ridiculous as it may sound but not properly washing your hair can be really bad.

They must use a new formula cuz i remember years ago i had hard time to see the shampoo and cover the scalp but now i can easly see the foam and the little bubble all araound the hairs, after a minute the foam become almost invisible but is still there i wait another 4minutes and wash

Maybe is easy now that i have less density i don t know but nizoral make a nice foam in the first minute you apply
