Applied To Much Nizoral In One Go By Accident

Hi I stupidly applied too much nizoral to my hair. I had itching for a few days afterwards but didn't notice any increased hair fall. It just left my hair dry but I have oily hair so it's pretty much back to normal now I think.

Should I be worried, I didn't leave the nizoral on for long I washed it out soon after applying it.

I have long permanently straightened hair and I notice some wave coming back near the roots. I don't think it's regrowth as the hair is straighter nearer the root. I think the nizoral reverted a small section of my hair to being wavy in a small area. I hope it has not done permanent damage. I really should have been more careful with this shampoo I didn't realise how powerful the ingredients were. I have no real reason to take nizoral either, it was generally a pretty stupid idea.

How can you apply too much Nizoral? You can't OD on it. You said you didn't even leave it on for long so don't worry.

Well I had feverish symptoms a few nights back not sure if it's anything to do with it. It didn't last long maybe just one night. What set alarm bells for me is that it changed my hair texture and my hair sitll does feel a bit drier after i wash it then it did before. Would it be possible for it to permanently alter my hair texture to make it more coarse? my hair texture was very soft and silky before, it's not that bad now but i feel it was softer before. I didn't realise how strong this nizoral stuff really is. It's quite scary I feel there should be more warning labels on the packaging and should be prescription only to prevent people malking the mistake i did.

Many people here are saying it fries hair, so if I accidentally put quarter of the bottle on my head in one go and washed it off one minute later. Would it permanently damage my hair? I also have noticed a scaly red spot on my scalp since i used it. I can't believe it I almost never bought it.

i can't imagine how nizoral could help anyone's hair loss. It just burns your scalp. I wish I never listened to people saying it can thicken hair. Load of rubbish. It just clears up fungal infections if you have them. That's it. On a healthy scalp too much can just cause you to have problems that didn't exist before.

Bro just calm down. It doesn't burn your scalp and studies show it can help. Members here have even posted it helped some.

Ok I will try to calm. But I'm having anxiety and I don't think I will feell well until I talk with my hair dresser because I believe it was strong enough to revert the texture of my rebonded hair. They told me I could use any shampoo and it wouldn't affect my hair texture as I had yuko japanese straightening treatment. This stuff has to be pretty powerful to revert some of it back, it literally sapped out all the moisture of my hair and must have altered the internal shape of the hair follicle. I use sls free shampoo normally, I looked at the ingreients of nizoral and it doesn't seem pleasent very acidic for the scalp and hair, using it once might not harm but I used too much of it not very many times. I'm scared so I'm having anxiety might feel better once I get my hair looked at.

You are fine bro. Just calm down and go chill. Your hair is fine. It's just your anxiety and you aren't helping yourself stressing about it.

Just use a good conditioner with a natural oil such as argon oil and you'll be fine in soon enough. Nizoral fries my hair too so I only use it once every couple of months.

I moisturize my ends everytime I wash... the nizoral destroyed my ends I only applied it to the scalp but was strong enough to run down my hair and strip it all. My ends were good before I used nizoral. I'm looking into using a hair mask.
